Opposition senators, particularly Liberal Party leader Sen. Kiko Pangilinan are calling on the Department of National Defense to sack Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade from his post as NTF ELCAC head.
The calls of the opposition senators and Sen. Kiko was bombarded with negative comments among the supporters of Pres. Rody Duterte on social media and one of them is a retired Air Force General in the person of multi-awarded General Romeo V. Poquiz who took to Facebook to write a reaction on Sen. Pangilinan's post.
Gen. Poquiz began his reactions with the calls of Sen. Pangilinan by giving netizens a short history behind the senator's tantrums against Gen. Parlade.
Sen. Kiko Pangilinan made some headlines on the mainstream media after his tweet was picked up and reported on national TV. Sen. Kiko tweeted: "Enough of this unprofessionalism and lack of discipline with such baseless, erroneous public statements. Like AFP Intel Chief Luna, Lorenzana should show Parlade the door."
The retired Air Force General note that the main reasons why some senators wanted Parlade out of NTF-ELCAC was due to his alleged accusations against Inquirer reporter regarding a news article about some native Aetas.
General Poquiz warned the senators what will really happen if they insist on asking for Gen. Parlade's head and serve it to them in a silver platter.
"Sige, sibakin ninyo para lalong sisikat si Parlade at magiging kasama pa ninyo siya diya sa Senado."
